The Growth Pact
A Manifesto
Who We Are
We are software engineers. We build things that work. We ship fast, we solve real problems, and we don't wait for permission.
But we've learned the hard truth: great products don't market themselves. The graveyard of the internet is filled with brilliant tools nobody ever heard of. We refuse to let that be us.
So we made a pact.
What We Believe
1. Distribution is not beneath us - it IS the product.
Code that nobody uses is a hobby. We respect the craft of reaching people as much as the craft of building for them.
2. We are stronger together than alone.
A solo founder shouts into the void. Coordinated voices create a signal that cannot be ignored. We are each other's unfair advantage.
3. Authenticity beats advertising.
We don't run playbooks. We don't fake enthusiasm. When one of us speaks about another's product, it's because we've used it, we understand it, and we believe in it. That trust is our most valuable asset, and we will never spend it cheaply.
4. Consistency beats virality.
We don't chase one-hit moments. We show up every day - a post, a comment, a share, a conversation. Small actions compound. We trust the process.
5. Reciprocity is non-negotiable.
This pact only works if every member gives as much as they receive. When it's your turn, we show up for you. When it's someone else's turn, you show up for them. No exceptions.
6. We compete with the market, never with each other.
There is no jealousy in this group. One person's success raises the floor for everyone. We celebrate each other loudly and often.
7. Every idea earns its place.
Before we pour our collective energy into a product, it must be validated. No untested ideas get the full weight of the group. We protect each other's time by validating before we amplify.
What We Commit To
As Individuals
- Own your growth responsibility and take it seriously
- Show up on launch days for every member, no matter what
- Validate your ideas before asking for the group's energy
- Never let a member's launch go unsupported
As a Group
- Run a launch rotation so every product gets focused attention
- Cross-promote authentically - linking, mentioning, integrating where it makes sense
- Share what we learn openly - every tactic, every result, every failure
What We Will NOT Do
- Fake engagement or write dishonest endorsements
- Let any single member carry the weight alone
- Treat marketing as "someone else's job"
- Go silent when a member needs the group
The Soul of Grove Karma
We are not a networking group. We are not a mastermind. We are not a chat that goes quiet after two weeks.
We are a growth engine - built by engineers, powered by community, held together by accountability.
We ship code. Now we ship attention.
